Loading a quantum gas from a hybrid dimple trap to a shell trap

Starting from a degenerate Bose gas in hybrid trap combining magnetic quadrupole and an attractive optical resulting focused laser beam, we demonstrate the efficient loading of this quantum into shell-shaped trap. The shell is purely relies on adiabatic potentials for atoms inhomogeneous field dressed by radiofrequency (rf) field. We show that direct rf evaporation enables simple preparation cold sample, well adapted to subsequent procedure. transfer limits final excitation center-of-mass motion below 2 [Formula: see text]m.
